Title: Volunteer
Started at Sopo: /2007
Meet more Sopo volunteers!

What do you do at Sopo?
I sell smoothies at the East Atlanta Farmers Market with the big green bicycle blender. And I get excited about girls who want to ride bikes.

What's your favorite part about doing stuff here?
Showing folks that you don't need to be a professional mechanic to fix up a bike.

What's the craziest thing you've ever seen at Sopo?
The week after we closed down the shop to clean it up. Things were sorted and labeled, and there was finally enough floor space to practice jazzercise routines!

What's the craziest thing you've ever seen at LIFE?
Practicing jazzercise routines inside a bike co-op.

What was your first bicycle?
One of my earliest memories involves riding in the baby seat on the back of a 1970's blue Schwinn tandem.

If you were a bicycle repair tool, which one would you be?
A 15mm wrench. Simple, practical, and the most popular thing in the shop.

What is/are your favorite...

Burrito filling(s):
Black beans and cheese

Bicycle Movie:
The Bicycle Thief

Simpsons episode:
That one where Lisa gets offered a scholarship to the Seven Sisters school of her choice -- if she throws the spelling bee.

Lebowski quote:
Only saw it once. All I remember is that it involved some dude drinking white Russians all the time.

Frosty beverage:
Highland Oatmeal Porter

Bands:
The rubber kind. They're useful for all sorts of things.

What's your deal? (school, work, hobbies, etc):
I'm in graduate school, and probably will be for the rest of my life. And I lead a beginner-friendly ladies-only bike ride on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30. We meet at Charis Books in Little 5 Points, and all the ladies are invited.

Any parting words?
Why did the bicycle fall over? Because it was two-tired! Ha ha!
