The shop will be open Tomorrow 2pm - 5pm.
Our mission...
...is to create equitable access to cycling by providing affordable
bicycle maintenance, services and education.
Our shop...
...provides a central forum for
sharing equipment, materials, and expertise, and facilitates affordable,
practical, hands-on support for cyclists of all ages and skill
levels.
Our youngest community members continue to astound us with their initiative and sense of sharing. Today, Dontez fixed up a bike for his mother for Mother's Day. It was a surprise gift. Later, Miguel came by to say that he had given all of his bicycles away to his friends who had none. It's about time for a bigger bike anyway (I swear, they're all going to be bigger than me in less than a year).
We're working hard to make sure we have the resources it takes to make the shop welcoming to our youngest friends. One volunteer, Jonathan G., is stepping into a volunteer youth mentor role, which is making a world of difference in the shop. Now the kids have one go-to person who helps keep them on task. You ought to come by and watch them all work together. They're all bike maintenance geniuses and excellent project collaborators! Our goal is to create a paid youth mentor position so we can provide this kind of support year-round. If you'd like to support our youth programming, please click the DONATE button to the left or give us a holler to see how you can help.

trash stew island floating around in the Pacific Ocean. It's entirely made of zipties (well, tiny bits of plastics)! Also, it makes Rachael really sad when she finds severed zipties on the ground.

Wanna buy Sopo a present and help out your fellow cyclists? We need TUBES:road bike tubes (27 in/700 c) and tubes for kids' bikes (20 in)! Next time you're at one of our local bicycle shops, pick up a spare tube for the community. Sometimes, that's all it takes to get one more cyclist on the road!

It's been wonderful being open on Sundays. Tons of people come, and we have a lot of fun. We have a big need for volunteers who know how to fix bikes and who are willing to help people. If you can let us know that you're available to help, that's great. Otherwise, just show up!
