TUESDAY: Tell your Senator and Representatives to Support Funding for Bike Transportation

Yes you can have an impact on bike transportation spending in the State of Georgia!  Our good friends at Atlanta Bicycle Campaign called to let us know that Senate Bill 39 and House Bill 277, bills that wound create funding (via sales tax) for local transit projects, left bicycling of the list.  If you want local governments to have the option of spending their portion on bike projects, ABC says our best bet is to call up our Representatives and Senators and urge them to: Support funding for bicycle transportation purposes.  SB 39 and HB 277 should allow local government to spend its sales tax revenue according to local priorities, including bicycle projects.  You can find your Representatives and Senator at www.votesmart.org.  Head on over to ABC's website to find out more!
