SoPo rides a Century

On Saturday September 5th a crew from SoPo rode in the Metro Atlanta Cycling Club's One Love Century.  Team SoPo brought out our bikes all built and/or maintained at the shop.  Thanks to MACC for a great event.  As several of us have never ridden a Century, MACC made it a great experience.  Their rest stops had all the necessities and enthusiastic volunteers who kept cheering us on.

The day started out cool and for most of the day stayed that way.  A little drizzle didn't dampen our spirits.  In the end we all had a great time.  Team SoPo included Rachael, Dad, Ernest, Bill, Jason, Sean, Graham, and Corny.  Thanks to Coach Graham for putting us on a training schedule so we can build up to ride long distances.  Hope to see more people next year.  The One Love Century benefits several great organizations including the East Atlanta Kids Club and SoPo.  So far this year SoPo has gone to the races, placing 11th in the Grant Park Crit Beginner's race, and completed a Century ride.  Next up is cyclocross.
