Georgia Rode To The Capitol
On March 23rd, cyclists rode to the State Capitol building in downtown Atlanta to show supportfor improved conditions for cycling, including the development of regional systems of both on-road bicycling facilities and multi-use-trails. We also wanted to show support Georgia House Bill 988 — 3 foot safe passing bill. The AJC even wrote an article on the event. Over 12000 cyclists ranging from kids, mountain bikers, commuters, roadies, tandems, wheelchair racers, and even a penny farthing. Here are some more photos.

We need more support for House Bill 988 to provide a 3 Foot Passing Law. This law requires automobiles to provide a 3ft safe zone when passing cyclists.
Please sign the online petition in support of the bill. http://hb988.epetitions.net/ When you sign, tell them in the comments section this is not an either/or issue. There are some that want to rescind the legislation that makes it legal to ride two abreast.
