Lock up your bike!
It’s not like we live in the bike theft capital of the world. You can say NYC, London, Toronto, etc. But recently, 2 friends were victims of bike theft; one of whom has lost multiple bikes. Whether it’s you or someone you know, we all have or heard a familiar story. It’s the path of least resistance. The least secure bike on a rack is the better target. So lock up your bike, so you can keep on riding.

Georgia Bicycle Law Enforcement Pocket Guide
Ever wonder what the bike laws are for GA? I have, so I did a little research and this is what I found, the Georgia Bicycle Law Enforcement Pocket Guide. It's on the Georgia Bikes website. GA Bikes is a statewide organization working to improve bicycling conditions and promote bicycling throughout the state. They release the guide to provide "a ready reference about traffic laws and safety standards for law enforcement officers and others who are faced with the task of enforcing traffic laws or investigating crashes that involve cyclists."

Thanks for 2009
5 years ago, and I quote, "some folks had a meeting about a bar napkin idea that had something to do with sharing a crank puller." And this is where we stand today, in the heart of East Atlanta, filled with people who want to help and bike. So in 2009 let's sum it up, there were probably 4000+ visits to the shop, about 1600+ unique shop visitors, and over 5600 volunteer hours. In 2010, don't forget to sign in so we can really see how big of an impact SoPo is on the community. As 2009 closes...

GA Cross Season Ends
The 2009 Georgia Cyclocross season has ended. The season only began on 10-4 and ended on 12-6. Thanks to everyone who put on races, rode, and cheered during the season. What I learned from riding and meeting folks is that it is a lot of fun and there an underground SoPo team out there. I ran into several people who have volunteered at the shop. Racing were Emily, Jeff, Frank, Josh, and OG Kyle. Not to mention the bike shops that help SoPo out like Peachtree Bikes, No Brakes, and Outback Bikes. Want to learn about cyclocross, check this. Check out some of the pictures from the season ending race put on by Sorella and Faster Mustache.
